![]() The closet space was a little small but there was plenty of drawers for storage. The room was a good size, the bed clean and comfortable. Checkin was quick and allocated room on the 7th floor overlooking Eads St which was pretty quiet. Now that the silver line from Dulles has opened it's easy to get here and avoid the traffic. It a very short walk from Crystal City metro past the Westin with the hotel entrance being on Richmond Highway not Eads St as I discovered. Stayed at the HGI for 3 nights while on a recent trip to Washington and found the hotel to be a good choice. Even though they may not care about the customer experience, at least they may have an idea of what going on in their properties. I have taken the liberty of referring this to Hilton Corporate. This establishment falls far short of even being able to do that. I really would look elsewhere for a hotel provider that can provide all of the basic amenities that one anticipates having during a stay. It seems in looking at other reviews, the hot water issue seems to be an ongoing one. Received a email(after completing the silly survey) that was pandering at best, informing me they would discuss the issue with engineering. Catching our flight was more improtant than cleaning up, so this was the condition we were left in for the day. Notified the front desk at 3:45AM, was told engineering would be in by 4.30AM, they were made aware and no resoulotion was made. Was upgraded and provided a room next to the elevator(despite what's in my profile.) The crowning failure here was the complete lack of hot running water in the shower as we were preparing to depart the hotel on Sat. Since then, this establishment (and its staff) has seen very heavy use, and the obviously not well maintained facility reflects that. ![]() I had stayed here previously, and it was decent at that point. We booked this establishment for a one night stay on December 23 before an early flight out the next morning.
